PURPOSE: A device and method for cleaning a header of an accelerated cooler are provided to effectively remove rust stuck on the inside of the header by a propelling force generated when high pressure water hits the inside of a cylinder. CONSTITUTION: A device for cleaning a header of an accelerated cooler comprises a cylinder shaped moving body(220), a jetting nozzle(230), and a high pressure water supply pipe. The jetting nozzle is attached to the leading end of the moving body, and sprays high pressure water in a pyramidal shape. The high pressure water supply pipe is attached to the rear end of the moving body.
