<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet printer for reliably detecting whether an ink cartridge has been mounted or not. <P>SOLUTION: The inkjet printer includes: in order to detect the ink cartridge 1, a detection switch 250 and a transmission member 200 which are supported by a switch support plate 132 and a protrusion support plate 131, respectively, located on the back of a holder 159. The detection switch 250 includes a slider 252 supported to be slidable via a torsion coil spring in a case 251. The transmission member 200 includes a protrusion portion 230 provided on the leading end side of the slider 252, for pressurizing the slider 252 through a compression coil spring and a sliding member 220 when pressurized by the cartridge 1. When the compression coil spring 240 deforms not less than a predetermined amount, the torsion coil spring of the detection switch 250 deforms, then, the detection switch 250 operates. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
