<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video signal processing circuit, a video signal processing method, a display device comprising the video signal processing circuit, and an electronic apparatus comprising the display device which enable control at a period shorter than time equivalent to one frame for video signal luminance control. <P>SOLUTION: A video signal processing circuit calculates a luminance integrated value on the basis of an input video signal and performs luminance control for the video signal on the basis of the calculated luminance integrated value.
