<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color filter formation substrate for a lateral electric field LCD display panel that can solve the problem of damage on a transparent conductive layer on a rear surface of a color filter formation substrate with a main purpose of countermeasure against static electricity at the time of rubbing during display panel formation, and that can suppress disturbance of alignment of liquid crystal for sure by suppressing the disturbance of the lateral electric field when the substrate is used for a display panel. <P>SOLUTION: When a lateral electric field display panel is manufactured by disposing a transparent conductive layer on the entire surface between a transparent substrate and an overcoat layer, combinations of the thickness and dielectric constant of the overcoat layer, and the height of a columnar body are selected so that only the overcoat layer and the columnar body can secure the insulation property that can suppress the occurrence of defective alignment of liquid crystal in alignment control of the liquid crystal by the lateral electric field system due to the insufficient insulation between the transparent conductive layer and an electrode of a TFT formation substrate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
