<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grinder capable of performing appropriate grinding work to a small-diameter long material by keeping a stable support condition, and preferably applying grinding work to a component that is not small in diameter and long without requiring an excessive specification. <P>SOLUTION: The grinder 1 includes: a headstock 5 mounted to a frame base 2 in a state of supporting a rotary holding part 4 and movable in the axis direction X of a grinding object W; and an extension mechanism 6 detachably mounted to the headstock 5 for elongating and contracting the distance between a support point at which a part of the grinding object W without being held to the rotary holding part 4 is supported by a support 7 and the headstock 5. The grinder can grind the grinding object W by grind stones 31, 32 while moving the headstock 5 in the axial direction X toward the grind stones 31, 32 in a state that the grinding object W is supported at the support point by the support 7 mounted to the extension mechanism 6. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
