<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet folding device having such a configuration that a staple needle is not abutted on the surface of a folding roller at the nip of a folding roller pair even if saddle-stitching staple processing using the staple needle is executed to a sheet. <P>SOLUTION: To the surface 541a of a first folding roller 541, at a position where the staple needle SP executed to the sheet S faces, a first recess groove 541b along the rotary axis periphery of the first folding roller 541 is formed. At the surface 542a of a second folding roller 542, at the position where the staple needle SP executed to the sheet S faces, a second recess groove 542b along the rotary axis periphery of the second folding roller 542 is formed.
