<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance a sense of presence in a three-dimensional image using physical and psychological stereoscopic vision factors. <P>SOLUTION: Movement of a parallax amount having a high frequency is detected from distribution of left-right parallax in the middle of a screen. When a parallax peak is moving from the far side to the near side, the middle of the screen is gradually enlarged according to the movement speed. Processing for enlarging an image at a constant speed within an allowable limit of left-right parallax is executed on a large protruding object in a short period of time, and thereby a feeling of protrusion can be emphasized. Then, when a parallax peak is moving from the near side to the far side, the middle of the screen is gradually reduced according to the movement speed, and thereby an object is made to seem to back away. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
