PURPOSE: An adhesive and an adhesive sheet are provided to have antistatic performance, and to have excellent stress-releasing performance and durability when applied to an optical unit such as a polarizer. CONSTITUTION: An adhesive comprises: a component which is obtained by crosslinking a first (meth)acrylic acid ester with the weight average molecular weight of 500,000-3,000,000, a second (meth)acrylic ester polymer with the average molecular weight of 8,000-300,000; and an antistatic agent. The adhesive has a braking elongation of 1500% or more by a tensile stress test, and a gel fraction of 30-90%. The ratio of the second (meth)acrylic ester polymer to 100 parts by weight of the acrylic ester polymer is 5-50 parts by weight. An adhesive sheet(1A) comprises a substrate(13) and an adhesive layer(11) which consists of the adhesive. |
