<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an appropriate low-pressure loop EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) system in which a failure of an intake throttle valve does not directly cause traveling disability and contamination of a pressure sensor is also reduced. <P>SOLUTION: In the upstream-side area of a compressor in an intake passage 3, the intake passage 3 is temporarily branched into a plurality of flow passages 38, 39 and then joined again before the compressor. An exist of an EGR passage 21 is connected through an ejector 6 to one flow passage 38 of the flow passages 38, 39. In the other flow passage 39, an intake throttle valve 35 and a pressure sensor 37 are provided. Even if the intake throttle valve 35 falls into failure and the flow passage 39 at the side where the intake throttle valve 35 is provided is cut off, fresh air can be introduced through the flow passage 38 at the side where the ejector 6 is provided. Furthermore, since the pressure sensor 37 is present in the flow passage 39 at the side to which the exit of the EGR passage 21 is not connected, contamination of the pressure sensor 37 caused by soot or the like contained in EGR gas is reduced, thereby maintaining its performance for a long period of time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
