<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a more easy-to-use mobile phone. <P>SOLUTION: A mobile phone includes a piezoelectric bimorph which is rigidly held directly within a housing structure to transmit a cartilage conduction vibration on the surface of the housing structure. A metal plate of the piezoelectric bimorph is arranged in parallel with a GUI display surface with the main vibration direction perpendicular to the GUI display surface. The metal plate of the piezoelectric bimorph is also arranged in parallel with a side surface of the mobile phone with the main vibration direction perpendicular to the side surface. The piezoelectric bimorph is also used as a feedback vibration source for an operational feeling of GUI, as an incoming call vibration source, and as a shock sensor. The cartilage conduction vibration of the piezoelectric bimorph is stopped when a horizontal stationary is detected by an acceleration sensor, however, a feedback vibration for the operational feeling of GUI, an incoming call vibration, and a shock sensor function are maintained. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
