<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of signal lines than that of a plurality of temperature detection elements even when the plurality of temperature detection elements are provided. <P>SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus comprises: an image forming sections StY, StM, StC, and StK; a fixing belt 1101 and a ceramic heater 1104; a thermistor 1040b provided in the ceramic heater 1104; a CPU521 for controlling heating of the ceramic heater 1104 so that an output voltage Vm of the thermistor 1040b is a target voltage Vt; and thermistors 1040a and 1040c provided in the ceramic heater 1104 and connected in parallel.
