<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image reading system which in a case where plural image readers are connected, is capable of reading images without need of complicated operation. <P>SOLUTION: The image reading system comprises: the plural image readers each provided with document-reading start instruction means; and an information processing terminal connected to the image readers. An image reader detects user's operation on the document-reading start instruction means.
