A steam generator includes an annular member (21), a second support member (22), and a third support member (23). The annular member is provided across a predetermined gap relative to a U-bend part (18) in which bent parts of a plurality of heat transfer pipes are concentrated, the annular member being bounded on one side by a pipe group outer tube (3) completely surrounding the periphery of the U-bend part (18), and enclosing an external peripheral part of the U-bend part (18). The second support member is provided between the annular member (21) and the pipe group outer tube (3). The third support member (23) is attached to a middle part (2) in which the plurality of heat transfer pipes are housed, and is adapted for supporting the second support member (22).
