The invention provides a downlink pre-coding method, a method for data interaction and a device in a cooperative multi-point transmission system. The method for downlink pre-coding includes that a cooperative base station obtains a pre-coding matrix indicator (PMI), determines a pre-coding matrix of the cooperative base station based on the PMI, and the number of the columns of the pre-coding matrix of the cooperative base station is less than the number of the columns of the pre-coding matrix of a service base station; the cooperative base station performs downlink pre-coding to the data to be transmitted based on the determined pre-coding matrix of the cooperative base station. By the method, each cooperative base station participating in cooperative transmission only participates in transmitting the data of a part of layers, and therefore reduces the computing complexity and the feedback overhand of a user equipment point.
