A wavelength label coding method and processing method for a flexible grid optical network and a flexible grid optical network node. The wavelength label coding method for a flexible grid optical network comprises: coding a wavelength label so that the wavelength label comprises a grid capability identifier and specific wavelength label parameters corresponding to the wavelength label. The technical solution makes the wavelength label suitable for a flexible grid network by extending the wavelength label and then from a control plane point of view can realize deluge of flexible grid routing information in a wavelength switched optical network and realize frequency spectrum resource allocation during a signalling establishment LSP process.
