The auxiliary air valve (22) has a housing (23), an inlet opening (24) and an outlet opening (25) for the bypass airflow, and a pressure-dependent opening closure unit (26) for blocking the flow connection between the inlet opening and outlet. The closure unit is provided for controlling an electrical or electronic sensor unit. The closure unit is mounted in the rotating manner in the housing. An interrogation unit is provided in dependence on the position of the closure unit. An independent claim is included for a vacuum cleaner with a suction nozzle.
