The present invention relates to a wireless communication system, and more particularly, discloses a method of receiving control information by a terminal in a wireless communication system, including: determining a searching space formed of Physical Downlink Control Channel(PDCCH)candidates in a sub-frame from a base station; and attempt to decode each of the PDCCH candidates in the searching space. The searching space in which the attempting to decode is performed is determined by factors including a set level corresponding to a number of control channel elements (CCE) included in each of the PDCCH candidates, and a number of the PDCCH candidates according to the set level and a predetermined offset.
