PURPOSE: A position sensor, and a portable device using the same, and a position sensing method thereof are provided to measure an inductance value of a solenoid coil which is comprised in a tactile sense generating device, thereby sensing a position of a moving unit. CONSTITUTION: A position sensor comprises a generation unit(110), first and second inclined surfaces(140,150), a moving unit(120), and a calculation unit(130). The generation unit generates an electromagnetic field. The electromagnetic field flows in the first and second inclined surfaces. The moving unit is arranged in an air gap(1) between the first and second inclined surfaces and moves according to an acting force(Fin). The calculation unit calculates a change of a factor value of the generation unit when distances of the first and second inclined surfaces from the air gap are changed by the movement of the moving unit.
