Device and method for assembling two aircraft fuselage sections

The device has a fish-plate (46) for fish-plating longitudinal stiffeners (20a, 20b) aligned with respect to each other on skin (18a), where the stiffeners belong to fuselage sections (14a, 14b). The fish-plate has fish-plate parts (48a, 48b), where each part comprises a longitudinal base (50) fixed on a corresponding stiffener, and a transverse support head i.e. core (54). The fish-plate includes a removable connection member i.e. tie bolt (58), to mutually tighten the respective support heads to allow transmission of longitudinal forces between the parts. An independent claim is also included for a method for assembling sections of fuselage of an aircraft.
