The invention provides a gas meter support bracket, the bracket (10) comprising a generally square or rectangular first plate (12), fixable along a first edge (13) by support means to a wall or other supporting surface, and including in the edge (22) opposed to said first edge (13) a recess (21) to receive a first pipe fitment of a gas-meter. A slot (19) to receive a second pipe fitment of a gas-meter is included in another edge of the first plate. The slot (19) and the recess (21) enable a gas meter to be fitted where space to either side of the meter is limited. The support means can comprise a second support plate (11) at right angles to, and joined along, a common edge with the first support plate (12). The second support plate (11) can be fixed to a wall or other supporting surface and provides a large surface area across which to spread the weight of the meter. The second support plate advantageously includes elongate slots (14, 15) so sized to allow the passage of fitment means there through, enabling the fitment means to secure the bracket (10) to a wall. |
