The cover (20) has sides (42, 44) inclined with respect to a top (40), and lateral sidewalls and bottom being opened, where the cover is fixed to a roof of the vehicle to form a continuous surface with the roof. A portion of the top and/or a portion of the sidewalls are manufactured from a material i.e. thermosetting matrix composite material, transparent to electromagnetic waves having a range of frequencies greater than 2 GHz. A housing is delimited by the cover in an extension defined by the sidewalls to receive a transmission antenna i.e. satellite antenna, of the waves. An independent claim is also included for a railway vehicle.
