摘要 <p>The invention relates to a process for removing the arsenic from exhausted potassium carbonate solutions coming from Uhde ammonia preparation process lines and to a plant for carrying out said process. According to the invention, the process consists in oxidizing Asto As, as well as the present organic substances, in three stages, as follows: with KMnOin the first stage; with oxygenated water and air in the second stage, and with potassium bichromate in the third stage, after which a trivalent iron salt is admixed for settling-coagulation purposes, at a Fe : As ratio ranging between 1.5...3.5 : 1 and, after settling, the sediment containing iron arsenate is separated by filtration, is dried and stored, and the resulting solution is treated with potassium sulphide for settling the arsenic traces.</p>
