PURPOSE: An image encoding/decoding method and a device thereof are provided to reduced a prediction error by filtering a prediction pixel less related to a reference pixel used for intra prediction. CONSTITUTION: When the filtering of a current block and/or a prediction block is determined, an encoder and a decoder determine a filtering execution area(S1010,S1020). The encoder and the decoder determine a filter type of each prediction pixel in the filtering execution area(S1030).
