PURPOSE: An auxiliary power steering device is provided to prevent the stability of the steering device from decreasing caused by error in an electric current map. CONSTITUTION: An auxiliary power steering device comprises a steering torque sensor(110), a vehicle speed sensor(120), a storage unit(130), a control unit(140), a motor driving unit(150), and a motor(160). The steering torque sensor detects steering torque applied to a steering wheel(102), and outputs a steering torque signal corresponding to the steering torque. The vehicle speed sensor detects a vehicle speed, and outputs a vehicle speed signal corresponding to the vehicle speed. The storage unit stores a current amp which indicates the electric current based on the steering torque and vehicle speed. The control unit generates a motor current signal, and sets the motor current for operating a motor. The motor driving unit supplies the current corresponding to the current signal to the motor.
