<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate troublesomeness in an image capturing person by shortening a time lag from image capturing to displaying concerning a digital camera system for wirelessly transmitting image data captured with a digital camera to an external device and recording and displaying the captured image in the external device. <P>SOLUTION: First image data and second image data whose data amount is larger than that of the first image data are generated when an image is captured in a digital camera 2. When the image data is transmitted to an external device 3, the first image data is transmitted first. The external device 3 receives the first image data, allows a display device to display the data, and subsequently, receives the second image data.
