<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receiver that implements a satisfactory NF without causing an increased current consumption of a high frequency amplifier. <P>SOLUTION: A high frequency amplifier 10 comprises: a single amplification circuit 1 comprising a resistance R1 as a load resistance and a MOS transistor M1 connected in series thereto; and a differential amplification circuit 2 having a differential pair comprising MOS transistors M2 and M3. A signal to be amplified is input into the gate of the MOS transistor M1, an output of the single amplification circuit 1 is input into the gate of the MOS transistor M2 forming one of the differential pair of the differential amplification circuit 2 via a DC bias cutting capacitor C1, and no input is applied to the other MOS transistor M3. An output signal of the differential pair comprising the MOS transistors M2 and M3 is output as an output signal of the high frequency amplifier 10. An improved NF of the high frequency amplifier 10 leads to an improved NF of a receiver 100. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
