The body has wall sections (10, 12) arranged opposite to each other, and a hole (20) comprising a collar-shaped extension (26). Side legs (14, 16) are arranged opposite to each other and interconnect the sections. One of the sections is formed by overlapping turned back portions (22, 24) of the legs. The sections and the legs form a retaining space (18) for retaining electric conductors. The extension is formed by the turned back portion of one of the legs by deep drawing process and projected into the space, where the turned back portion forms a wall of the space. An independent claim is also included for a method for manufacturing a clamping body for clamping electric conductors.
