A method for producing a pyrazole compound represented by general formula (5) of the invention comprises reacting a 2-acyl-3-aminoacrylic acid ester represented by general formula (1) and a hydrazine represented by general formula (4) in the presence of a base. (In the formula (1), R1, R2, R3 and R4 are each independently alkyl groups.) (In the formula (4), R5 is an alkyl or aryl group.) (In the formula (5), R1, R4, and R5 are the same as previously described.) By means of the production method, it is possible to produce, at a high yield and a high selectivity, a 1,3-disubstituted pyrazole-4-carboxylic acid ester that shows little discoloration.
