<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device and a method for voice recognition in a mobile body which, when the device connects to a remote server system performing voice recognition and cannot receive a response from the server due to deterioration in communication condition, immediately notifies a user of that effect. <P>SOLUTION: A voice recognition device comprises: means 302 for transmitting speech of a user to a server system 260 to request the server system 260 to analyze the speech; means 312 for acquiring information about a communication environment of a mobile body; means 304 for waiting for an analysis result from the server system for a predetermined time period; means 308 for, when the analysis result is received within a waiting time, notifying a user of that effect; means 314 for estimating communication condition during the waiting time on the basis of the acquired information about the communication environment; and the means 308 for canceling waiting for the analysis result when it is determined that the communication condition during the waiting time is not good, and notifying the user of that effect. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
