<p>Provided are: a rubber composition for tires, which is capable of improving fuel efficiency, wear resistance and wet grip performance in a balanced manner, while maintaining good processability and workability; and a pneumatic tire which uses the rubber composition for tires in a tire component (particularly in the tread). The present invention relates to a rubber composition for tires, which contains a copolymer, silica and a compound represented by formula (A). The copolymer is obtained by copolymerizing 1,3-butadiene, styrene and a compound represented by formula (I), has an amino group at one end, has a functional group that contains at least one atom selected from the group consisting of a nitrogen atom, an oxygen atom and a silicon atom at the other end, and has a weight average molecular weight of from 1.0 × 105 to 2.5 × 106.</p> |
