The invention relates to life-saving equipment for use in the event of severe earthquakes and other disasters which may affect residential buildings, office spaces and other premises. The life-saving capsule is in the form of a mounted doorframe having a rigid shell with shock-absorbing springs around the perimeter thereof and tightly closing doors on two sides, and is equipped with safety seats having safety belts, wherein at least one of the doors is an emergency door, the closing of which activates a self-contained power supply and air delivery and emergency communication systems. The life-saving capsule consists of protective layers, one of which absorbs impacts and is made of an elastic material, while the other is made of a fireproof material and is heat-resistant. If necessary, a layer is provided for protection against radiation and another layer is provided for buoyancy in liquid environments. A GPS, a satellite telephone and a source of audible signals such as a klaxon are used as a communication device.
