<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Pachinko machine capable of sustaining the amusement of play by effectively producing a ready-to-win performance, in which a player tends to wait for finishing because of a low degree of expectancy for a jackpot, using a look-ahead function, and by effectively arousing a sense of expectancy for jackpots in the next variation and thereafter with a result of the ready-to-win performance. <P>SOLUTION: The Pachinko machine includes a look-ahead means and a stopped symbol changing means. The look-ahead means executes second winning or missing determination different from first winning or missing determination based on a random number newly obtained based on entrance of a game ball into a starting component during the variable display of performance symbols, and extracts a kind of variation by referring to a variation pattern table based on the result of the second winning or missing determination and a plurality of game states.
