An electric continuously variable large synchronous wind power generator set, comprising a fan hub, an electric continuously variable transmission, and a conventional synchronous generator; the electric continuously variable transmission comprises a generator and a motor; the generator and the motor share a rotor body and form the electric continuously variable transmission by using a power electronic control technology to replace existing ratio-variable mechanical gearbox; and the motor in the electric continuously variable transmission is capable of driving the conventional synchronous generator to run at a synchronous speed for grid-connected power generation. The present invention is a wind power generator set with high reliability, low cost and high electric energy quality, and is suitable for electric continuously variable large synchronous wind power generator sets at megawatt level or above.
