PURPOSE: A stability maintenance system of vehicles and a control method for the same are provided to operate a SCC(Smart Cruise Control) system and an ESC(Electronic Stability Control) system. CONSTITUTION: A stability maintenance system of vehicles comprises a SCC system and an ESC system. The stability maintenance system of the vehicles additionally includes a control unit(20). The control method of the stability maintenance system of vehicles comprises the following steps: determining if speed reducing is generated in a vehicle while the SCC system is in the operation; determining if ESC system action is requested when the vehicle reduces speed; and operating the ESC system while maintaining the operation of the SCC system when the operation of the ESC system is requested.
