The device has an actuating unit (10a) for actuating a parking lock latch. A locking valve unit (12a) is attached at a pressure chamber (11a) and provided in a basic position for hydraulic and/or pneumatic locking of the actuator unit. A valve (13a) e.g. 2/2-way valve, independently unlocks the actuator unit and includes control volumes attached to the chamber. An operating agent pressure-and/or control line (14a) connects the volumes and the chamber together. A control and/or regulating unit unlocks the actuating unit in an operating state by pressurization of another pressure chamber (16a). An independent claim is also included for a method for providing a motor car parking lock device.
