PURPOSE: An image data display method and apparatus thereof are provided to accurately select a desired point in a smart phone by displaying a point including image data by enabling a user to touch a specific icon on a road view. CONSTITUTION: A display apparatus displays image data related to a first point and a mobile icon on a first area of the screen(S710). When a touch down input signal for the mobile icon is received, the display apparatus displays selectable points in the image data(S720). When a dragging input signal for the mobile icon is received, the display apparatus moves the mobile icon(S730).
