PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a focusing evaluated value detection device capable of easily preventing erroneous focusing from being caused by the occurrence of a pseudo peak in a focusing evaluated value, and a digital camera. SOLUTION: The focusing evaluated value detection device resets a filter 36 in timing that luminance information is input in the filter 36 first in an evaluated area that is an area set as an object to be evaluated of a focusing state in a picked-up image of a subject by a value integration area control part 40, and also controls a data offset part 34 so as to perform offset processing for offsetting the luminance information with the luminance information input in the filter 36 first in the evaluated area as a criterion value when the luminance information in the evaluated area is input in the filter 36.
