A security device adapted to be removably fixed into, and to prevent access through, an opening such as a window or a door comprises at least one telescopic bar which is attached at either end to an arm, each arm having a foot on each end for securing to the window or door frame. The device may comprise an alarm and a sensor such that the alarm sounds in response to contact by an intruder. The alarm may be deactivated using a remote control. The device may be manufactured from a conductive material and further comprise electric shock deterrence means. The arms may flex in use and may be curved with the bars mounted on the convex side of the arms. |
