In an embodiment, there is provided a method for the support of IP connections for a User Equipment UE having access to a 3GPP Core Network CN via at least a trusted non-3GPP Access Network AN that does not support Layer 2 signalling and bearer per IP connection, said method comprising:
- providing that traffic carried by an IP connection is tunnelled over said AN, through a Layer-2 tunnel associated with said IP connection.
