PURPOSE: A continuously variable type automatic transmission is provided to reduce the size of a belt driving part by forming shift operation with a planetary gear set and a friction element. CONSTITUTION: A first input shaft(12) delivers power of an engine. A second input shaft(14) delivers the power of the engine from the first input shaft. A belt driving part is installed between the first input shaft and the second input shaft. A planetary gear set(50) is connected to the second input shaft.
