Coated fabrics; compound fabrics.-A process for forming goods of rubber &c., such as sheeting, rubber coated fabrics, &c., comprises calendering heat sensitive aqueous dispersions of rubber &c. between two face sheets and thereafter causing the dispersions to gel by leading the face sheets into a heating fluid medium, for instance hot water, oil, steam, hot air, &c. The face sheets may be treated to prevent adhesion of the rubber sheeting. Double texture waterproofed fabrics may be produced by calendering heat sensitive latex mixing between two sheets of fabric. To produce fabric rubberized on one side only the fabric is run in direct contact with one bowl of the calender, a face sheet treated to prevent adhesion, running in contact with the other.
