The circuit (PHI) has a control module performing open loop control of opening/closing of a switch (T LSI) i.e. metal oxide semiconductor (MOS)-type transistor, and triggering opening of a solenoid injector (125) by closing the switch for predetermined time to allow establishment of current equal to a peak value in the injector when voltage across the injector is equal to nominal voltage (V BRI). A terminal (107) of the injector is connected to a battery that supplies the nominal voltage. Another terminal (108) of the injector is connected to an electric ground (GNDI) by the switch. An independent claim is also included for a method for controlling opening/closing of a solenoid injector integrated into an electronic control circuit and intended to be arranged in exhaust of an internal combustion engine.
