<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector taking a predetermined time to gradually darken an image, and shifting it to a mute state. <P>SOLUTION: The projector includes: an image projection part; a shutter position detecting part for detecting at which position of an open position, a mute switching position, and a closed position a shutter 4 is located; and a mute control part for switching from a regular projection state in which image information is projected at a regular brightness, to the mute state that is darker than the regular projection state. When detecting that the shutter 4 is moved from the open position to the mute switching position during the projection, the mute control part takes the predetermined time to gradually darken the projection state of the image projection part and shifts it to the mute state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
