<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism capable of moving a lens for a periodical maintenance while maintaining an image whose shifts cannot be recognized by a user performing monitoring by visual inspection. <P>SOLUTION: A drive control device controls the drive of a focus lens and the drive of an iris. The drive control device gives an instruction to change focus to drive the focus lens in the direction in which the focus is more shifted than at the time of being instructed.
