<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To more certainly make acceleration suppression executable when wrong operation of the acceleration operation, while suppressing decrease of operability when the own vehicle approaches an obstacle. <P>SOLUTION: The acceleration command value corresponding to the operation amount of the acceleration operator which a driver operates to direct acceleration, is suppressed when the vehicle speed of the own vehicle is less than the prescribed value, and proximity degree D of the own vehicle to the obstacle forward of the own vehicle in traveling direction is determined to be approached to the obstacle proximity degree D or more set beforehand.
