<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a partition wall structure that can prevent damage of a partition wall when flexure occurs in upper structure members, such as a beam and a ceiling and lower structure members such as a slab. <P>SOLUTION: A structure B of a partition wall for dividing an internal space H of a building, formed between an upper structure member 1 and a lower structure member 3 includes: an upper runner 10 that is formed in a U-shape in cross section and fixed to the upper structure member 1 so tat an opening thereof is directed downward; a lower runner 4 that is fixed to the lower structure member 3; a stud 5 whose upper end 5a is engaged with the upper runner 10 from an opening thereof and whose lower end 5b is fixed to the lower runner 4; and partition wall panels 7, 8 that are attached to the stud 5 to divide the internal space H.
