摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the rate of rise in temperature by temperature rise control during external charging of a plurality of parallel connected power storage devices which are externally incorporated in an electric vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: When temperature rise control is needed during external charging of a power storage unit 10, an ECU 60 controls external charging so that a set of a first charge period and a second charge period will be provided. In the first charge period, the ECU 60 turns a charge relay CHR on and also turns only one of battery relays RLB1 and RLB2 on, causing only one of battery units BU1 and BU2 to be charged with power from a charger 80. In the second period after the first period, the ECU 60 turns the charge relay CHR off and also turns both of the battery relays RLB1 and RLB2 on.
