<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dead bolt for a motor-driven electric lock, capable of locking, even if a relative position of the dead bolt and a strike hole is dislocated a little. <P>SOLUTION: A pair of adjusting plates 17 and 17 extending in lengthwise direction of a dead bolt 2 along both side surfaces of the dead bolt, are arranged movably in the lengthwise direction in a front end part of the dead bolt that is movably guided in longitudinal direction vertical to a front plate 3 in a lock box 1 and forming a driven cutout in a rear end part. By energizing the pair of the adjusting plates relatively forward to the dead bolt, even if the dead bolt and a strike hole not shown in a figure are dislocated a little, when its dislocation falls within a thickness of the adjusting plates 17, the adjusting plates 17 abut on an opening edge of the strike hole when the dead bolt projects for locking, but the dead bolt can intrude into the strike hole. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
