PURPOSE: A two-stage guardrail is provided to improve the stability of passengers and to reduce maintenance costs by enabling the absorption of shock caused by a secondary collision. CONSTITUTION: A two-stage guardrail comprises multiple guardrail posts(10), D-shaped first guardrails(20), honeycomb-shaped second guardrails(30), and post couplers(40). The guardrail posts are fixed to the ground. The first guardrails connect the adjacent guardrail posts together and are fixed to the top portions of the guardrail posts. The second guardrails are fixed to the middle portions of the guardrail posts to be separated from the first guardrails. The post couplers fix the guardrail posts to the ground to improve the bending rigidity of the buried portions of the guardrail posts.
