The method involves projecting optical contents in a projection region (10) of a projection medium by a laser projection device (7) e.g. pico-projector. Optical factors are received from a part of the projection region by a receiving device (5). Reception of the receiving device is evaluated by a body part detection device (4), which identifies human body parts during reception of the receiving device. Projection of the laser projection device is controlled by a projection control device (2) based on identification of the body parts at the projection region by the body part detection device. An independent claim is also included for a mobile electronic device comprising a laser projection device.
